Undergraduate Program Administrator, Mathematics & Statistics

Are you passionate about fostering academic excellence and building community? Join the Department of Mathematics and Statistics as an Undergraduate Program Administrator (UPA), where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting over 600 majors and helping more than 9,800 students each academic year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Support: Serve as the primary contact for first-year and prospective Mathematics and Statistics undergraduate students, ensuring a welcoming and supportive experience.
  • Curriculum Management: Lead the coordination of course planning and support for the department, collaborating with the Academic Administrative Coordinator and the Director of Undergraduate Studies (DUS) to meet academic needs.
  • Mentorship Program: Oversee the faculty mentor matching process and provide ongoing support to mentor-student pairs.
  • Community Building: Design and execute events and initiatives to foster a sense of belonging among undergraduate students, promoting engagement and academic success.
  • Industry and Career Development: Build relationships with industry partners, collaborate with the Center for Career Development, and co-host events to prepare students for their careers.
  • Program Outreach: Contribute to the department's online presence, manage communications, and create resources to enhance visibility and support for the undergraduate program.
  • Program Assessment: Handle administrative aspects of program evaluations to maintain and improve program quality.
